When it comes to saving for the future, should parents put their retirement or their kids college first?
Depends on which generation you ask.
A survey released today by Country Financial found that about 46 percent of Americans overall thought retirement should be the No. 1 priority, but only 18 percent of Gen Y adults (currently age 18 to 29) agreed; 66 percent of them would put education first.
For what its worth, we tend to come down on the side of putting retirement first, for the benefit of all generations.
